Preparing the Troops
Yesterday Peter and I told the children to get all the Lego people they could together. We wanted them with heads, pants, arms, and hands. We didn’t tell them why but only that we had a surprise for them. The children started working but after a bit they only had a few people together so Peter and I decided to help out. We have a ton of Lego’s so all 5 of us were in the playroom dumping out the bins of Lego’s and separating the body parts from the building parts. Once we had been through each been we took all the pieces and started to put the people together as they were supposed to go. All the children stayed up pretty late as we assembled the men and watched a documentary on TV. Eventually we put all the kids down and Peter and I continued to work on building people. We were up until after midnight finishing the people. Finally we were left with some extra hands and pants but couldn’t make any more complete people so we called it a night. In total we ended up making 194 Lego mini-figures. The girls kept asking us why but they will just have to wait and see.
