Shoebox Time
As you may remember, every year around this time our church participates in the Samaritan Purse organization that delivers shoeboxes filled with gifts to children who have no Christmas. We had a good time picking out toys and school supplies for our
boxes and cramming as much as possible into them. I gave each the girls a set amount of money and let them pick out what they would want to send away. When the boxes were filled and wrapped we took them to church and the girls carried them to the steps in the sanctuary when we were told to do so. Abbi had to carry Javan's box because hers was too heavy for her. Every year my heart breaks because I can't do more but I enjoy showing the girls how to care for others and give what little we can.
