Day 2- Nassau, Bahamas

I woke up a few times during the night but the sleep that I did get was very good sleep and I felt ready for the day this morning. The girls had been up for a while so they were excited when I started moving around. When we went out on our balcony we could see just little bit of land
so we knew we would be at Nassau before too long. We all got up and dressed in our swimsuits and then headed out to get some breakfast. It was about 8 when we got to Cabana's and there weren't too many other people there yet. We filled up our plates and then our tummies and then headed to the pools. The kids went straight to Donald's Pool but when they realized they couldn't touch the ground at all they opted for the Mickey Pool instead. When Christina and I got situated we decided to try the Aquaduck with the girls. They were excited to give it a go so we headed up the stairs for our ride. There wasn't much
of a line when we went up because most people were still at breakfast. Abbi and I rode together first and Christina and Bresa followed. The Aquaduck was really cool and you could see the whole top deck as you rode through the clear tubes. We even got to see and wave at Daddy and Noah on our way to the end. Once wasn't enough though so we headed up again but switched riding partners this time. The girls jumped back into the pool when we finished and Christina and I headed to one of the hot tubs. The hot tub was really awesome as it was straight against the very side of the ship so you are sitting there overlooking the edge the ship. The floor of the hot tub has a large portion that is clear glass so you can see straight below you to the
life rafts that are hanging off the side of the ship. It kind of freaked me out when I first realized it but it was still really cool. Once we were warmed up we headed back to the guys. The girls were still playing in the pool and I told them to go try the big water slide with Mickey's hand holding it up. Christina and Noah went off to go on the Aquaduck and Peter and I watched from below. When we had had enough pool time we went down to
our rooms to clean ourselves up and get dressed to go to Nassau. We ate lunch again at Cabana's and then headed to land. Peter and I knew we wouldn't want to stay too long because I remembered what it was like from when I came with Christina when we were about 7. Peter and the girls had never been so I figured it would be fun for them to experience it. The first thing we did when we got off the ship and took some pictures was get a single braid in each of the girl's hair.
Of course we had to haggle with them but when we decided on a fair price the braids were done in no time. We walked up the block and around the corner stopping in a store every now and then. I found a couple of really cute dresses for the girls so I let them pick out the colors they wanted and we purchased them. I was trying to find something for Javan and my mom but didn't have much luck. After another store or two Christina and Noah left us to go take a look at the Atlantis Hotel. Peter and I weren't too interested in it so we stayed behind and went around the block. We came across some cool markets which is what I really wanted to see. I remember going through them when I was younger and I wanted the girls to see how it was. We saw some cool wood figures and lots of straw hats and purses but nothing that we really
wanted. As we were headed back to the ship we saw one more of the market shops and stopped to talk to the lady running it. She was very nice and gave each of the girls a little turtle as we were walking away. When I turned back I saw an album that was the same style as the album I bought in Italy to put all our pictures of the trip in. I picked it up and decided it would be perfect for our Cruise pictures so we bought it and then returned to the ship.
When we got back on the ship we decided to work on the detective game that we had started earlier in the day. It is a game where you go around to different levels and areas of the ship and find paintings that are interactive. You hold up a card and the painting changes, then you have to do something to reveal either a
clue or a stolen painting. The point is to eliminate suspects to solve the mystery of who stole all the paintings around the ship. The girls are really into it and could probably play the game straight through but there are about 10
different paintings you have to find and they are spread all over the ship over 13 levels. After we found a few of the paintings we decided to get back to our room to put some things down before dinner. Christina and Noah had just returned when we got to our rooms so we all headed to dinner together. Tonight we were eating at Royal Palace which has a french menu. Once again we loaded our tummies up with wonderful food.
I had iced shrimp and lobster for an appetizer and Peter had piping hot french onion soup followed by lamb. The girls ate all their dinner and got to have a Banana split dessert with mickey mouse shaped sprinkles. Carlos was our server again (they follow their guests through the whole cruise) and he impressed us with more magic tricks this time with foam balls. When we went back to our rooms we found some cool towel animals waiting for us. Christina and Noah had a stingray and we got a horseshoe crab (we think). The girls took a
little nap as the rest of us went over tomorrows itenirary. We woke the girls up so that we could make the show for the evening which was "Villian's Tonight". The show was great and the girls really enjoyed it too. There was a lot of singing and effects. Once we cleared out of there we took the girls to the Oceaneer's Club while us adults went to get some night photo shots. After Noah had gotten a few good pictures Christina and Noah retired for the evening but Peter and I went to the hot tub and talked to a couple other guests for
a while. When we got tired we went to get the girls so we could get ready for bed for the night.
