Getting ready to Sail Away
Finally, after almost a year's wait we are finally leaving for our cruise tomorrow! The girls have been getting very excited about the trip since we let them in on the secret Christmas Day. We started packing up our things last night and finished it up this morning. Before we can leave on a vacation the house needs to be scrubbed down completely so that when we return home everything is spotless and nothing needs to be done except the unpacking and laundry from the trip. Yesterday my mom picked up Javan from my office to take him home with her. We decided that Javan would have just as much fun with Grandma and since he is so young he wouldn't remember the trip at all it. I know I will miss him when I only have my girls with me but he is in good hands so I am not worried. This morning the girls worked hard cleaning their rooms and putting everything in place while I cleaned the rest of the house. Peter worked hard on some last minute guitars that he was trying to finish before we left for a week and had a few clients pick up their things so they wouldn't have to be without it until Friday. Around 2 we packed up the van and got a few last things done before locking up the house and started our vacation. We stopped in Winter Park to see my mom and exchange a couple things we had both forgotten yesterday. We kissed our little man good bye one more time and then drove over to Christina and Noah's house. Christina and I had a pedicure appointment and after having worked all day long and scrubbing tubs, floors, and dishes I was really looking forward to a nice foot soak and pampering. Besides that, our toes had to look good for our trip. After a wonderful and relaxing pedicure we returned to Christina's house and discussed all the fun things we were going to do tomorrow. For dinner we had some California Pizzas and then Tina, Peter and I played a game while Noah and the girls watched a movie. Now it is time for bed and hopefully the girls will get a good nights rest. That may be asking a lot though, they are really excited!
