China, Day 2- still traveling

The air in the cabin was very dry and I used a lot of lotion and chap stick. Every time I used the restroom I had to reapply the lotion because my hands would get so rough. My eyes burned from the dryness but mostly from being so tired. I had some eyedrops with me but I choose to wait to use them when we were on solid ground. The flight included a lot of food which surprised us. I think there
was a total of 3 snacks and 2 good sized meals and of course drinks whenever we wanted something. I listened to a lot of my music but I didn't feel like picking up another book to read. Eventually we landed in Tokyo, I enjoyed watching the land as we descended. There was one really cool and huge statue by the airport that I could see from my window as we came in. I will have to see if I can find it online to figure out what it was. At Tokyo we had about a 3 hour layover between our next flight and we had to go through another security area, I guess because we were flying international again. We found out gate and then went back to the main area to see what the shops were like. They had a lot of stores like you would find in outlet malls, perfumes, purses, that sort of thing. Nothing we wanted so we headed back to the gate. It felt good to stretch our legs but we were both so very tired we didn't have much energy. We found some lounge chairs at the gate and we waited the remainder
of an hour or so until we could board. The airport was alright, nothing real exciting. It was cool to see the difference in cultures just by the advertising and art they had around the building. Peter and I were really wiped out at this point and we really didn't want to get on another flight. Of course we had no choice but finally we boarded and found that AA had moved us from our nice window seats to the center row of the plane. This flight would be almost 5 hours and about and hour and half in it finally got dark outside, making it a total of around 22 hours of straight daylight for Peter and I. I slept for a total of about 3 hours on the plane, Peter watched a movie and played on his iPhone. We were served a meal but I didn't eat it all. There were some weird things in it and it was obvious we were getting farther and farther away from America. With about an hour left I got out my iPad and starting typing up or journey. When we arrive in Hong Kong we are to get through the airport and catch the train/shuttle to the Peak, about a 25 minute ride, where Vandita and Anupam will be waiting for us.
