Paint away

This morning my mom came out to go to church with us and then went to a meeting for a class that I will be teaching in a couple of weeks. After the meeting we all went home for some lunch and then got busy painting Abbi's room. Mom helped a ton with the trim and corners while I did the rolling. The room still has a bit of work to be done on it but pretty soon the girls will each have their own rooms. Thanks for all the help mom!!

Towers of Fun

Today while my Dad and Judy were here Bresa entertained herself with the blocks. She was just playing around but pretty soon she started making a tower that kept growing and growing. She got the idea to build it up to her eye and put the window in so she could see through it. She was pretty proud of herself when it was all completed. Silly girl, if it weren't for baby Javan I would break out the regular Legos and let the girls play with those, I just don't want those tiny pieces all over the floor now that we have a little crawler again.

1st day of School x2

This morning was the first day of the new school year and not a day too soon! Poor Peter may actually start to get some more work done with his business with the girls being out of the house. We took Bresa to 1st grade and she already knew most of the kids because they were in the same class last year. After Bresa was all set Abbi got to go to her first day of school ever! Daddy and I took her to her preschool where she quickly found toys to play with and was super excited about playing on the playground during the day. I use to think that she would be reserved and not want me to leave her there but she kissed me good bye and didn't look back. When Peter picked her up later she didn't want to leave but he told her that in order to come back tomorrow she had to go home first. Both the girls did well and another school year is underway. Only one baby left but it will still be another 4 years before that.

Summer's End

This was the last week of summer vacation before school starts this coming Monday. The girls had some fun times with sleep-overs at Grandma's and days at the beach and lots of staying up and seeing friends. Though the summer fun is over they are both very excited to be going to school. Today we went to Bresa's school to meet her teacher though it is the same teacher she had last year because the same teacher teaches all the gifted students K-2nd in one class. We also stopped by Abbi's new preschool to get some times and questions answered. Abbi is really excited to be a big girl and go to school this year. I tried to get her to stay home and not go to school but she told me that she was a big girl and that she was four now so she had to get bigger and go to school. Abbi's so cute, her new teacher is so lucky to have her in her class!

Happy Anniversary to us...#9

We made it another year and to be honest this one was probably one of the easier ones. Peter and I don't really fight or argue but sometimes just with life in general things get stressful. This year however things seemed pretty smooth even with all our major changes. Peter moved his business into the house and even bigger, we welcomed our first son and third child into our family. We became members of our church and after doing so have become very involved with Peter playing lead guitar on the worship team, both of us leading a Life Group out of our home every week and soon I will be teaching a class at the church on Wednesday nights. We are very blessed and we give all praises to God for our wonderful friends and family that he has surrounded us with. If every year that follows is like this than we will have no complaints! Thanks everyone for the happy wishes! We had a great night and it just proved that Peter is still my favorite person to hang out with!

Twinkle Toes

No matter where she is going or what she is doing, Bresa is always on her toes. I have had many comments on how she always walks on her toes and people ask why she does it. To be honest, I have no idea, she is just more comfortable that way. Even when you put shoes on her feet she still walks on her toes. Bresa says she wants to be a ballerina but her days of toe walking go as far back as I can remember, before she ever knew what a ballerina was. I figured it was just a phase she would grow out of but it's been a few years now so we will just have to wait and see if her toes do the walking into her preteen years.

Wishy Washy

Today, my Dad and Judy came over to hook up our new washer and dryer! Janell and Wyatt gave us our new set when they replaced theirs. I am so super excited, I have wanted these things for a long time now but our old ones worked alright so I could justify buying anything new. Thank you so much Janell and Wyatt, this is such a blessing to us!! Thanks dad and Judy too for delivering them and hooking them up. We have clothes tumbling right now.
