Philippians 4:13

Yesterday when the girls and I were washing the cars, I was working on Oscar but Bresa and Abbi had moved ahead to Ofilia (the Civic). Bresa said to me, "Mommy, we need you to help with Ofilia. She is dirty too." My reply was, "I know Bresa, but I have to finish Oscar first. I can't do everything." Without skipping a beat Brye came back with, "We can do all things through Christ, which strengthens us, mom." I had to stop and smile and laugh a bit and then told Bresa, "You are exactly right, babe." All the fun we had yesterday and the truth remains "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth." (3 John 1:4).

Another fun Saturday

After my softball game this morning, Peter and I took the girls home and had some lunch. Peter had heard about some Fun Day at Gemini Springs which is just a couple miles South of us so I decided to take the girls and check it out. Peter stayed home to get some work done and the girls and I took off to explore. We got to the Family Fun Fest and got hand stamps and then wandered off to see all the excitement. There were a few different bounce houses and a few booths of fun. The girls had a blast bouncing and then we went to get their faces painted. They love having that done and Abbi always laughs the whole time because she says it tickles. We wandered over to a fenced in area where there were a couple of Alpacas (llama like animals), the girls watched them for a long time and even got to feed them a couple treats too. We eventually said goodbye to the animals and then did some more bouncing and a cool obstacle course and then Brye went on a huge slide after climbing a rock wall. With the hand stamp we had unlimited bouncing so I let the girls get my money's worth out of it before heading out. On the way back to the car there were fire fighters there with their big fire truck. We must have shown up right at the right time because as we walked by they asked the girls if they wanted to get in the truck and take a look around. Of course Bresa is up for anything so they got the tour and then we were off to the grocery store. We did a quick bit of shopping for the week and then came home and washed all the cars in the driveway, including the customer's that Daddy is building a guitar for. Now that the cars were clean it was time to wash the girls. A nice bath to calm them down and soon it will be dinner time. Chris is suppose to come over tonight also so after they get all riled up with him they can go to bed where I am sure they will sleep soundly until church in the morning.

Prayers for Heather

Yesterday, my sister-in-law, Heather's father passed away unexpec-
tedly. The news took us all by shock and now Steve and Heather have headed up to Nova Scotia to be with her mother and family during this time. I ask that everyone send there prayers for Heather and her family and pray that God holds them close in this trying time.

Can't handle it

The girls were still eating dinner when Peter and I started our Life-Group that we hold at our house with a bunch of people from the church every Monday. Bresa finished her Cheese and then went to play in her room while us adults talked. It got quiet in the kitchen so I went to see if Abbi was still eating. When I went in I saw Abbi with her head on the table. I wasn't sure if she was pouting or sleeping. When I got up close I realized she was dead asleep sitting up at the table like that. I picked her up and put her to bed and she didn't even open her eyes, poor thing must have been exhausted from her stay at Grandma's this weekend.

A Fun and Busy Day

This morning I woke up (a bit late) and got the girls dressed and we headed over to the Little Econ River for a caching CITO event at 8:00 AM. With school and work eating up all my time I have really been neglecting the caching thing, so it was great to have a reason to get out again. The girls helped me clean and together we gathered a nice 3 50 gallon garbage bags of trash. Over all the 20 or so cachers probably gathered a good 50+ bags. After the clean up we had a nice BBQ and swapped some stories as usual. Around 1PM we all loaded back into the car and headed up to Sanford for their Annual Spring Fest Celebration. My Sergeant was taking part in it and was all dressed up in Colonial garb so I took the girls to go see him and then we wandered around the booths for a little bit. The girls had a blast dancing and shaking music instruments with the band and then they helped make a chair at the next booth. They had a great time but I was ready to head home. One of Peter's customers had invited him to a BYOG (bring your own guitar) party and at first he was going to go without me. My mom called me and asked if she could take the girls for the night and I had finished my research paper early so I figured I would go along with Peter. I didn't really expect to have much fun because I didn't know anyone and I tend to be a bit shy in those situations but when we first got there I met a lady (whose husband invited Peter) and she was a believer and we hit it off right from the start. She reminded me a lot of a really great friend of mine who moved away and miss terribly so it was so nice to be able to talk to her. Peter and I got to the party at about 7PM and we ended up staying until 2AM. We had a really great time and I made some really wonderful friends that I can't wait to see again. It was a very busy day but I got to spend time with my babies and my husband and meet some great believers too.

Update on Donna

Donna had a better week this past week. The anti nausea medicine seems to be working pretty good. Bouts of nausea not as bad as in previous weeks. At treatment today she was told her blood level numbers are up a tiny bit in some areas (still have a ways to go). She will have some same day surgery on Wednesday to have a port inserted into the upper chest wall. Her veins are collapsing and this is the way to go. She still continues to have a positive outlook and that is what is going to get her through the worst of this. Please keep her in continuing prayer. IHN

Pet Fair

Peter is working in New Jersey this weekend so it is just us girls left alone to do some damage. I think we can handle that. This morning we got up and went to my softball game. We had just enough players today but we still got beat pretty bad. It was pretty funny actually. I don't mind though because it was a lot of fun and I even have a couple bruises to show for it. I don't think you can say you really played unless you got hurt. :) After that the girls and I went to the Pet Fair at the Orlando Science Center. I told my friend Angella, who works there, that I would come so I couldn't let her down. The girls had a really great time and I think I wore them out pretty good. First we went and had their faces painted any way they wanted and then we went and played with the bubbles. You may remember Abbi in the big bubble last year, well this time they both got to do it and Bresa thought it was awesome. After that we went to the craft area and the girls both made pine-cones covered in peanut-butter and birdseed to hang in the tree for the birds at home. It was quite messy but luckily they had a hose not too far away so we could get a little washed up. We walked around and saw Shamu and got a quick picture and then we looked at all the cool dog toys and clothes and leashes that were out there. We went back to the craft tent again because we still had a couple tickets to use up and the girls decided they wanted to make rock faces. They had fun picking out eyes and coloring the rocks and putting hair and glitter on them. When Bresa was done she said "okay, we can go home now," I wasn't going to argue with that so we headed out. On the way to the exit though we stopped by a couple more tents and saw some cool critters in cages. Brye and Abbi both got to hold a snake too! It was really cool. They both touched a huge boa constrictor earlier so this snake looked like a worm to them. After we said good bye to Angella we drove over to Grandma's house since she wasn't too far and we had dinner. When we got home we put the birdseed pine-cones in the tree and then the girls jumped in the tub for an overdue bath. I think they will sleep good tonight. *Click on the images to see them larger*

What are they up to?

I tried to get a picture without them knowing I was there, but you can't sneak up on these girls.

Softball

Well, we had our first game today. Kind of. We actually were short two people and talked Peter into playing, which he has never done. He did really well though and caught two foul balls and got us two outs. He went up to bat twice and hit the ball both times, I was really proud of him. We still were short one person and we lost pretty badly but without enough people to cover all the positions it was really hard. I played shortstop and second base at the same time and had a really difficult time trying to cover it all. Hopefully next time we will have enough people show up to fill the field. Peter got a shot of me at bat but I hurt myself somehow so I am hoping to heal up before next game but so far it's been going slow. After the game Bresa and I played a little ball of our own. She did really well and I think she is getting a hang of the whole catching thing without closing her eyes and flinching. :)
