Facebook

Well, I think I am the last person in the world but I now have a facebook account. I don't really understand what I am doing on it but now everyone can stop asking me why I don't have an account. I like the blog more, I find it much easier and less crowded. It will be cool to get reconnected with people who I haven't talked to in forever. Hope to see you there.

The Rock and The Rabbi

The other day I got a call from my friend Brenda who told me that her and her husband, Bill, got us tickets to go see a play in Orlando. She said if we needed a babysitter they would be happy to watch the kids so that Peter and I could have a date night. How sweet!! Well, it turned out that my mom wanted to watch the kids so after she came to our house we headed out to Orlando where the theater was. When we got there Peter got a call from Bill and it turned out that the manager gave them free tickets right in front of us after she heard what they had done for us. Awesome!! The show was absolutely amazing!! We had such a great time and I was sad when it was over. Basically it was like a concert with narration. The narrater was Simon and he told his story about his life with Jesus and all the miracles he experienced and his failures. It was really moving and the music was amazing. They were only in town for two days but when they come back we will definitely be returning and bringing lots of friends with us. After the show we went to dinner with Brenda and Bill at The Cheesecake Factory. It was a great evening and we are so thankful that we are blessed with wonderful friends! Thanks Brenda and Bill, we really enjoyed the show and can't wait to go back again!

Frog pond

This summer we have quite a few new visitors in our pond. We only have two fish left after the rest of about 40 died in a 3 day time span. We think they caught something and got sick. Anyhow, it seems that every time we look outside there is a new frog visiting. They sit up no the bricks or float in the water or sometimes sit on the pump in the water. We need to get some more lily pads but the last time we went to the store they didn't have any. The most frogs we have seen at one time this year is 4, but I have yet to see the big frog that we had a couple years ago. I do hope he shows up soon.

Happy Father's Day!!!

Happy Father's Day to all the daddies out there! Today, as well as celebrating Peter, we celebrated Javan and dedicated him at church. We didn't do much all day. We went to lunch with Peter's Dad and then my mom took Bresa home with her. At our house we erupted Abbi's volcano that she got and made for her birthday and then we watched a movie together. Nothing too exciting but it was nice to just relax.

Family Reunion

Tonight we had a family reunion at my mom's house. Steve finally came home from Iraq and drove down here to stay a week. Mom decided to have everyone over for dinner so we could all hang out. We had a great time and a great dinner. Thanks mom! So happy you are home Steve!! The kids had fun too!

The First Supper

Our little boy is growing up, tonight he had his first solid food. Well, it was mostly liquid but it was thicker than milk. Javan had just a little bit of cereal for dinner before he finished off a bottle. He wasn't really thrilled about the cereal's taste, he made all sorts of faces. He still has his tongue-thrust reflex, where he instinctively pushes foreign objects out of his mouth with his tongue. It will just take a little bit for him to overcome this. Peter took a video of Javan eating which is pretty funny but it was almost 8 minutes long so I can't load it.

We Match

I found some really cute material at Wal-Mart the other day so I decided to get some to make the girls summer dresses and me a top to match. It was pretty easy, which is good since I have very limited sewing skills. The dresses came out pretty cute and fit nicely, as did my top. The girls were excited to be "twins with Mommy."

HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY ABIGAIL!!

Today my little baby girl turned four years old. She is so big that this year she will be starting preschool! It is hard to believe my little girl is already 4! I took the day off of work to spend with her and she said she wanted to go to Disney. After talking about it, Peter and I decided we would just take Abbi to Disney so the day would be all about her. Bresa and Javan stayed with Grandma and we explored Animal Kingdom. We had a good day and Abbi got thoroughly spoiled. She was dressed so pretty as a beautiful princess and had a big button that said it was her Birthday with her name on it. Everywhere we went people said "Happy Birthday Abigail." I asked her how they knew but she didn't have an answer. After lots of walking we headed home and Abbi fell asleep before we had even got off Disney property, I think that means she had a good time.

1st Grader

Well, I no longer have a Kindergartener any more. Today was Bresa's last day of Kindergarten. We had our rough spots through the year but I think Bresa has grown a lot in many ways. Next year she will be going on to the 1st grade, it is so hard to believe that she is so big already! Abbi will be starting Preschool this coming year so that just leaves baby Javan at home. Here is Bresa with her "Diploma" wearing a shirt she made in class.

How Cool is this?

Peter and I were talking about taking the girls camping and I mentioned this to my friend Radley from work. On Tuesday there was a Safety Luncheon for Sanford and they had lots of door prizes. For some reason during these safety luncheons the prizes are always weird things like camping grills, flashlights, and, well, coolers. Radley and I hung out for a while to eat our lunch and watch as everyone else got called up to get a prize, we never win anything. I told Radley that if I won I would want one of the three coolers up there so I wouldn't have to borrow my mom's to go camping. She said that she had some at her house and I could have one because they never used them, awesome. Anyhow we left when the luncheon still had an hour or so to go and went back to work. Today Radley got an email from HR that said she had won a cooler and to go pick it up at City Hall. She told me about it and said I could have it because she didn't need it. Awesome!! We went to pick it up and I brought it home to show the girls. They were very excited about it because now they know we are serious about going camping. Thanks so much for the cooler Radley, you are too awesome!!

Dedication

On Father's Day we are having Javan dedicated at church. We had to submit an everyday photo for the big screen so that the people in the back can see him during the dedication. This is the photo we chose.
